A Choice of May 2009 Events in Rome

A lot of appointments are going to get ready on May to make your stay in Rome a great experience. Among Opera, Pop, Culture and Sport let’s see the best events.
For lovers of Ballet, at the Rome Opera House: until May 3 “Les Ballets Russes/3” on music by Straviskij, Debussy and Rimskij-Korsakov; at the Teatro Nazionale: from May 7 to 10 “Futurism” played by the in-house ballet body.
On the side of Classical Music, at the Opera House from May 19 to 27 “Pagliacci”, under the direction of the Master Franco Zeffirelli, a piece written by Ruggero Leoncavallo.
There are also two great pop concerts ready: one International, on May 10 at the Auditorium, Jackson Browne; and one Italian, on May 22 at Piazza di Siena (inside Villa Borghese) Claudio Baglioni.
The Museums of Rome are always working on a new exhibition. In a few days I will be more specific on this matter, but you must know
that, at Palazzo della Conciliazione, on April 30 has started a an exposition that will close on April 30 2010, devoted to Leonardo Da Vinci. The collection includes objects and machines built on the bases of his projects.
If you are a sport fanatic, for you there are various dates of the Italian Open Tennis Tournament and, on May 27, the king of European soccer events: at the Olympic Stadium, the Champions League Final game.
